Ascona Group, the forecourt operator, has acquired three service stations in Lincolnshire and one in Sunderland, bringing its total portfolio to 55 sites across the UK.
The Jet-branded Wragby Road petrol station in central Lincoln, Luxmore West and Luxmore East petrol stations in North Lincolnshire and Foxcover petrol station in Sunderland are part of the group.
In line with the group’s strategy of developing the next evolution of roadside retail destinations, the four stations will include a Nisa brand boutique and feature the “Smokin Bean” coffee brand. Ascona also signed a new five-year agreement with Jet to supply the sites.
With these recent acquisitions, Ascona is on track to achieve its ambition of increasing to 60 sites by the end of April and 300 sites in the next five years. The group had previously secured support from Crestline Europe and Nash Business Capital to more than double its portfolio to 120 locations by 2021.
Ascona was founded in 2011 by CEO Darren Briggs, former Chief Strategy Officer of Total UK Ltd, and embarked on its current growth strategy in 2017. Since then the company has grown from two to 55 locations to across the UK and now serves around 150,000 customers. one week.
