Dani Olmo’s latest strike gave Spain a spectacular first victory in qualifying after the visitors initially fell behind. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia completed a smooth movement just before half-time to put Georgia in the lead, but Ferran Torres started the comeback sliding after the restart.

Denmark racked up their record for a major tournament qualifying victory thanks to a stellar performance from a largely second-string side. Five goals in 21 minutes of the first half took their toll, with Sampdoria’s Mikkel Damsgaard scoring two. Kasper Dolberg also struck twice as Denmark claimed two out of two wins at the start of a qualifying campaign for the first time since 1996.
