Demi Lovato opens with the night that nearly killed her, and the frightening moment she woke up in the hospital and was declared legally blind.
Lovato’s highly anticipated documentary “Dancing with the Devil” premiered at the South by Southwest Festival on Tuesday night, giving viewers an unvarnished look at the singer’s struggles and triumphs. In one part, she shares that she was declared legally blind in hospital after her 2018 overdose … her vision so bad she couldn’t see her sister by her bedside.
In an interview with The New York Times, Lovato said it took two months for her to regain enough sight so she could read a book again. The singer says on “DWTD” that she is still unable to drive due to occasional blind spots.

The documentary also details the night of her overdose… Demi said she was partying with friends, went home and called her dealer who allegedly supplied heroin that was allegedly mixed with fentanyl.
TMZ broke history… Lovato was discovered minutes from the death of an assistant in June 2018 at her Hollywood Hills home. The singer spent months in rehab and had an amazing trip to get back on my feet and play again.
