APH Also Releases Potential Low Risk Exposure To Bath And Body Works In The Station Mall
After reporting a new case of COVID-19 earlier today, Algoma Public Health is reporting two more cases of COVID-19 in the region.
Of the two new cases, one is from Sault Ste. Marie while the other is from central and eastern Algoma and they bring the total number of cases in the region since the start of the pandemic to 228.
APH is also advising anyone who has visited Bath and Body Works in the Station Mall on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. of a potential low-risk exposure.
The health unit advises anyone who has visited Bath and Body Works to:
- Self-monitoring for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from potential exposure
- Self-isolate immediately if symptoms develop
- Look for tests if symptoms appear
Case 227, tested on March 28, falls under the close contact exposure category, meaning the individual has been in close contact with a known confirmed case.
Case # 228, tested on March 26, falls into the unknown exposure category, meaning the individual has not had recent international travel or close contact with a known confirmed case.
The two individuals are currently self-isolating.
The two new cases bring the total number of active cases in the region to 17.
