Up to 20 vehicles damaged as major fire tears barn apart

Up to 20 vehicles have been ravaged by fire after a large fire ravaged a barn last night.
Eight teams and a high volume pump were called in and firefighters spent the night fighting the Widnes blaze.

The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they arrived at the barn on Joy Lane, next to Clock Face Road at 10:46 p.m. and found the 20 x 30 foot building ‘well lit’.

Firefighters confirmed that up to 20 vehicles were inside the eviscerated barn.

At this point, no details on the vehicles or the cause of the fire have been given.

The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said crews have fought through the night and, although reduced, some firefighters are still fighting the blaze this morning.
