“The fact that she is on vacation in #Hawaii is not a good role model for this government or for all #Albertans, so we need them to do what’s right and replace her,” said #Cette.

#Other UCP government figures have also come under fire on social media for alleged overseas vacation trips.

#Backbench MP #Pat #Rehn posted a photo on his public #Facebook page on #December 24 that appeared to have been taken in #Mexico. The image appears to have been deleted #Thursday evening. The UCP caucus and #Rehn did not respond to #Postmedia’s multiple requests for comment.

#Additionally, an #Instagram photo posted by a UCP press secretary earlier this week showed him with another staff member vacationing in #Hawaii.

#This stated that no member of the #Alberta NDP caucus traveled overseas during the holidays.

#Alberta reported 1,200 new “estimated” cases of COVID-19 on #Thursday. The exact number of new infections, as well as figures on deaths and hospital admissions, were not provided as the province is only providing ‘modified’ updates on the pandemic through #January 4, citing the holidays.
