Toronto McDonald’s employee tests positive for COVID-19

A McDonald’s in Toronto has confirmed that one of its staff has tested positive for COVID-19 since Thursday, as new cases continue to be reported.
McDonald’s Canada has shared its COVID-19 notice page with updates through January 7.

According to the fast food chain, an employee of one of their establishments, 25 Joe Shuster Way, said he tested positive for COVID-19. They had worked for the last time on January 3.

Anyone who has visited an affected McDonald’s is urged to follow Ontario Public Health instructions.

In the past week and during the holidays, more than 10 positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported.

McDonald’s Canada says its restaurants have implemented a number of enhanced safety measures, including making hand sanitizer dispensers available, keeping high-touch surfaces and tables sanitized, and make masks compulsory for all staff.

“Maintaining the health and well-being of our crew and guests is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor and adapt measures as needed,” said McDonald’s of Canada.

“We continue to work with local health authorities to support our employees and customers, and we look forward to returning to serving our community.”
