Three of the four stars of Sex And The City will meet for a new show that revisits the iconic characters 20 years later.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have agreed to star in And Just Like That – a 10-episode series on HBO Max, the channel announced on Sunday.

Production on the new show will begin in the spring, he added.

He will see the characters of Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York Goldenblatt together again for the first time since 2010 when the movie Sex And The City 2 hits theaters.

But Kim Cattrall and her character Samantha Jones will notably be absent from the new series.

The Canadian-American actress publicly banged his former co-star Jessica Parker following the death of her brother in 2018.

She told the actress that she “didn’t need his love and support” and that her mother called her a “hypocrite”.

“Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend.

“So I am writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘good girl’ character,” she wrote at the time.

She then added a link to a New York Post article titled, “Into the Mean Girl Culture That Destroyed ‘Sex and the City”. ”

HBO did not explain why Cattrall was not part of the new project.

But the network’s original content manager Sarah Aubrey said, “I grew up with these characters, and I can’t wait to see how their story has evolved in this new chapter, with honesty, emotion, humor and beloved city. which has always defined them. ”

Sex And The City first aired in 1998 and ran for six seasons until 2004, before two films were shot about the characters in 2008 and 2010.
