Every week, MobileSyrup reviews some of the most notable movies and TV shows that have recently hit Canadian streaming platforms.
Our “Streaming in Canada” column generally focuses on new content from Amazon Prime Video Canada, Crave, and Netflix Canada, but other services like Apple TV + and Disney + will be mentioned where applicable.

Shirley

Based on the novel of the same name by Susan Scarf Merrell, Shirley features a largely fictional tale of novelist Shirley Jackson as she wrote her gothic novel Hangsaman.

Shirley was directed by Josephine Decker (Madeline from Madeline) et stars Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Michael Stuhlbarg (Call me by your name), Odessa Young (the girl) and Logan Lerman (Hunters).

Directed by Matthew Hamachek (Amanda Knox), the two-part documentary examines the rise, fall and return of global golf icon Tiger Woods, with previously unseen footage and interviews with Woods’ relatives.
