Robin of the masked singer: all the clues that “prove” the character are Aston Merrygold


Aston Merrygold will be confirmed as Robin on The Masked Singer UK, viewers say.
But it’s not just her familiar voice that has left many convinced that the JLS star is in the costume.

While also showing off some of his moves, Robin dropped some major clues about his secret identity.

After playing in week one and week three, his performance and clues left many convinced that they fixed the case.

Possible links to album names, Strictly Come Dancing and his pre-JLS career, many believe Robin’s identity has already been revealed.

Robin performed for Tones and I’s Dance Monkey on the last show, which in itself could indicate that the celebrity took part in Strictly Come Dancing.

Aston was on the show in 2017 and actually performed the song Can’t Stop The Feeling that Robin performed in week one.

This week there was a strong reference to football, throwing many fans off the track.

Robin gave big clues

But Aston played on Soccer Aid in 2012, so technically played for England at the time.

Speaking of Robin and the benchmark at the start of his career as someone else, they also match the singer.

He was on Stars In their Eyes Kids in 2002, playing the role of Michael Jackson with the Jackson 5 hit Rockin ‘Robin.

There seems to be a JLS link

One of the most recent clues might be everyone’s biggest giveaway, having suggested their real names were ‘out of this world’.

Aston’s JLS group released an album called Outta This World.

One final clue is a possible connection to his time on The X Factor, when he and the boys played Flying Without Wings with Westlife.

Robin said he was known to “fly without wings” and many immediately assumed the connection.

The person under the mask won’t be revealed until Robin leaves the competition.
