Powerball numbers: no big winner on Saturday, jackpot rises to $ 550 million

NEW YORK – The Powerball jackpot has grown to over half a billion dollars after Saturday’s draw failed to produce a winner.

The Saturday winning numbers were: 14-26-38-45-46- Powerball: 13

The Mega Millions jackpot is even bigger, causing lottery fever across the country.

Here’s what you need to know about the two awards:

The Powerball jackpot rose to $ 550 million (cash value: $ 411.4 million) by Sunday morning, the biggest potential prize since March 2019.

Powerball officials say it could be the 9th biggest prize in the game’s history.

The next draw will take place on Wednesday January 13.

Even though no one won the top prize, two tickets matched the five white balls to win $ 1 million. These tickets were sold in Pennsylvania and Florida.

The Powerball jackpot was last won in New York City in the draw on September 16, 2020.

“It’s been a few years since the games have offered such big jackpots simultaneously, and our players are here for it,” said May Scheve Reardon, president of the Powerball Product Group and general manager of the Missouri Lottery.

The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

Mega Millions

The Mega Millions jackpot has reached $ 600 million for the fourth time in history.

Many lottery players are hoping for a fortune because there are no tickets to match the six numbers drawn on Friday night.

Friday’s winning numbers were: 18, 3, 58, 16, 6 and a Megaball of 11.

While no one won the Mega Millions jackpot earlier this week, five tickets match the five white balls, making players from California, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York millionaires.

Four of the winners took home $ 1 million, and the New York winner purchased the optional Megaplier, bringing its prize to $ 2 million.

Our sister station WABC-TV reported that the winning $ 2 million ticket was purchased at the Citgo Mart in Middletown, Orange County, and that a winning $ 1 million ticket was sold at Masso’s Deli. & Pizzeria in Gibbsboro, New Jersey.

Mega Millions tickets are sold in 44 states plus the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands.

The next draw will take place on Tuesday.
