Tesco regularly reviews who to partner with to offer discounts to Clubcard customers – but two of the best deals are about to be terminated.
As it is, BA Executive Club members can convert points earned from their daily or weekly groceries, mobile and banking services, as well as when filling their car with Avios.
But from January 18, 2021, this agreement ends.
In the weekly MoneySavingExpert.com newsletter, Martin wrote: “Warning regarding Tesco Clubcard vouchers. It eliminates the Avios and Now TV rewards. ”
Currently, savvy customers can get 600 Avios for £ 2.50 in Clubcard points by converting at the right time.
Tesco said the decision was made by BA, not her.
A Tesco spokesperson told Mirror Money at the time: “Clubcard is how our customers get the most out of their purchases with Tesco; Clubcard points that are worth more than any other supermarket loyalty program and vouchers that are worth up to three times their face value at over 100 reward partners, Clubcard prices on hundreds of products online and in store .
“Clubcard customers will still be able to convert points to Avios until British Airways leaves the program in January next year. ”
The near-ending NowTV deal allows customers to use 50p of Clubcard vouchers to purchase £ 1.50 of NowTV credits.
You have until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday January 31 to complete the swap.
The best things to use your points on now
With restaurant vouchers, experience days, and travel discounts effectively unnecessary during lockdown, it can be tempting to hold onto Clubcard points in the hopes of better days ahead.
But there is also a danger here – as the points expire after 2 years.
As such, if your points are about to expire, here are the best deals available that you can use right now, according to the team at MoneySavingExpert.
- Magazine subscriptions – 3x value : 50 pence in Clubcard vouchers receive £ 1.50 to spend on magazines. You can use it on over 70 titles including Cosmopolitan, Gardeners’ World, Grazia, Empire, and Good Housekeeping
- Denby – value 3x : £ 5 Clubcard voucher allows you to buy £ 15 which you can spend in Denby, meaning £ 60 of pasta bowls will only cost you £ 20 of vouchers.
- Rail cards – value 3x: If you need to renew a card, £ 1 in Clubcard vouchers becomes £ 3 to spend on an annual card. This means that a Two Together card will cost £ 10 vouchers, not £ 30.
