Luke Evans has confirmed that he has separated from art director boyfriend Rafael Olarra.
The Beauty and the Beast actor, 41, reportedly split from Rafael last October after unsubscribing on Instagram, but days later they seemed to patch things up when they got back together.
But speaking to The Times’ Saturday review, Luke confirmed he was single, saying, “It is what it is. “

The couple started dating in the summer of 2019 and made their relationship official on social media the following February.
In October, the couple was thought having separated, when they unsubscribed on Instagram, actor Luke deleting photos from his account.
Just Jared reported days later that Luke and Rafael were repeating themselves, suggesting that they had patched things up.
And at the time, Luke posted a new photo of the couple on horseback, writing, “Good times.” The photo with others featuring Rafael has now been removed.

Rafael also shared a photo of his bedside table, which featured a photo of the two sitting on it, writing: “So far and so close. ”
It was around this time of the breakup rumor that Rafeal left Australia, where he and Luke were based while the actor was filming Nine Perfect Strangers.
Rafa is based in Miami and is the artistic director of Faena – a luxury hotel chain with locations in Miami Beach and Buenos Aires. He is also of Argentinian origin and studied in Madrid before settling in America.
According to Just Jared, the couple spent the first few months of the coronavirus lockdown together in Florida.

They then traveled to England and Spain over the summer before spending time in Australia where Luke is filming the upcoming limited series Nine Perfect Strangers.
Luke and Rafa only made one red carpet appearance during their romance when they attended the European premiere of Frozen 2 in November 2019.
While now single, Luke thought about fatherhood and admitted that he wanted to have children before he was “old.”
He said: “I’ve thought about it a few times and as I get older I think maybe I should go on and do it. I don’t want to be an old daddy. . . but I would like to be a dad.
“There is a lot of satisfaction in passing on your experiences and raising a strong, open-minded, kind and respectful human being who can step out into the world and do something right.

Luke has been busy filming “Nine Perfect Strangers” in Australia, in which he plays divorce lawyer Lars, and admitted that it was “nice” to portray a gay character onscreen for the first time.
He said, “It was a lovely character to dive into and calibrate and deliver this complex person. But yeah, it was good playing a gay character after all those years playing roles on stage and on screen.
Luke once dated actor Victor Turpin, but they broke up over a year ago.
In 2002, Luke insisted to The Advocate that he never tried to “hide” his sexuality, preferring to simply keep his private life private.
“In my life in London, I have never tried to hide. It’s not a big deal and it will never be a big deal for me, ”he said.
In 2014, he told Women’s Wear Daily: “It’s good for people to look at me and think this guy does his thing, enjoys what he does, is successful and lives his life. And this is what I do and I am very happy.
