Latest coronavirus: Texas reports record daily increase in deaths, cases of British strain


Illinois on Thursday became the fifth U.S. state to confirm 1 million cases of coronavirus. According to health department data, 8,757 new infections were reported within 24 hours, the largest one-day increase since December 17.
