Update on Ottawa today
Ottawa Public Health (OPH) recorded 184 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, the third consecutive day of case totals being triple digits.
Two new deaths were also recorded, bringing the death toll in the city to 397. SPO also reports 84 other resolved cases.The infection rate in Ottawa has increased dramatically since Christmas, prompting the city to issue new rules and recommendations restricting outdoor recreation.
The current lockdown in eastern Ontario went into effect on December 26 and is expected to last until January 23. Premier Doug Ford said on Friday he may need to be extended.
