The Strictly star told Hello magazine, “Our second bundle of joy arrived on Friday, January 8 at 9:46 am weighing 7.25 pounds. ”
She added that she and her Norwegian fiancé Marius: “We couldn’t be more excited to start 2021 with this amazingly cool little man joining our family. ”
And Kara thanked the hospital that gave birth to her son, adding: ‘Thank you to the wonderful team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for bringing him safely into the world. ”
Ex-EastEnders star Kara did not announce her son’s name, after previously sharing that she was struggling to find the perfect nickname.
The new mom, who already shares her two-year-old son Frey with Marius, recently took to Instagram to find names for her unborn son.
Along with the snap, she wrote: “Another name possibility has come to us today. Two for now. Inspiration is welcome. ”
The gorgeous actress confirmed in October that she was then six months pregnant with her second baby.
Her pregnancy was a good surprise for the lovebirds, who wanted to give a brother to their son Frey.
She told Hello at the time, “I think this year has brought so many things in so many ways. At the start of the year, I had to start a play, and now I’m home in a little cocoon and pregnant.
“We really wanted a brother for Frey. So we said, “If it happens, it happens; let’s go with the flow, “and it happened a lot faster than expected. I did the test in May. We weren’t shocked but it was a surprise, and we feel so lucky… ”
She added, “I think how nice it is for Frey to have a brother. I’ll be outnumbered with Marius and two boys, but do it. ”
Kara and Marius’ love affair dates back over three years, when they began their love affair at the Wimbledon tennis championships in 2017.
And they welcomed little Frey together in November 2018.
In 2019, Kara had opened up about her plans to marry Marius in her native Norway in 2020, but said her mother’s health was her ‘priority’ because she had not been well.
Of course, the coronavirus pandemic would have put their wedding plans on hold anyway.
