John Reilly dead: General Hospital and Dallas star dies at 84


John Reilly, star of the American soap opera from General Hospital and Dallas, has died at the age of 84.
The actor’s death was announced on Sunday by his daughter on Instagram, in which she described him as “the brightest light in the world”.

John played a recurring role on ’80s television hit Dallas before playing retired spy Sean Donely on ABC General Hospital’s most popular daytime series.

Such was his popularity at one point, director Judd Apatow said independent actor John C.

Announcing his passing on Instagram, John’s daughter Caitlin wrote on Sunday: “The brightest light in the world has gone out. Imagine the best person in the world. Now imagine that this person is your father. ”

John Reilly made a name for himself in American TV soap operas

Caitlin posted a photo of herself as a little girl was hugged by her father.

She continued, “I am so grateful that he is mine.

“I’m so thankful that I was able to love him. I’m so grateful that I managed to hold him and say goodbye to him.

“Honestly, I don’t know what I’m going to do, but I know he will be with me. I love you forever, Dad. ”

John was born in Chicago and he first appeared in the soap opera As the World Turns, playing Dr. Dan Stewart.

He went on to star in TV shows How the West Was Won, Quincy ME and Dallas .

In February 1984, John was cast as Sean Donely in General Hospital, a role that would last for 11 years.

In the series, his character had several storylines in which he went from being a villain to a good one.

John is survived by his wife Liz and his three daughters.
