Two lawsuits brought by Joey Ryan dismissed

Joseph Meehan, better known in wrestling circles as Joey Ryan, had two cases dismissed last week, one against a “Speaking Out” accuser.

On January 7, Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald dismissed Meehan’s case against a woman who laid charges last summer. Last month, the judge issued a warning saying the case would be closed due to “the lack of prosecution.” Meehan had until 12/23 to respond to the order, or it would be rejected on 12/29.

According to court documents obtained by, Meehan did not file any documentation to support his case, which led the judge to order the dismissal of the case.

On 1/4, a California judge dismissed Meehan’s case against former ROH wrestler Pelle Tsichilis, aka Pelle Primeau. This case has now been transferred to the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and has been referred to a judge effective 1/6.

The plaintiff has failed to demonstrate that the defendant’s alleged actions were deliberately aimed at California.

Joey Ryan still has several lawsuits pending in the court system, one against IMPACT Wrestling for allegedly breaking his contract, as well as two against women who have brought charges against him.
