Happy Mondays Star Bez Launches Fitness Classes On YouTube After Being ‘Severely Unfit’ Locked Out | Ents & Arts News

Happy Mondays star Bez is launching his own online exercise classes after being “seriously unfit” at poking fun at chocolate in the last lockdown.

The maraca-shaking dancer, famous for his stage antics as part of the “Madchester-era” group, hopes to lose weight and help motivate others.

The 56-year-old, real name Mark Berry, will share videos on Youtube under the title Get Buzzin ‘With Bez.

But unlike Joe Wicks, the lockdown fitness star, who creates his own workout videos, Bez will follow orders from a personal trainer and visit a psychologist, learn yoga, and try hypnotherapy.

He said, “I’d like to think I’m somewhere between Joe Wicks and Mr. Motivator.

“I started this new year severely unfit, with a big stomach and squeaky hips, and I can’t stop eating chocolate.

“In the last lockdown, I became unfit, fat, lazy and in very bad eating habits.
