Dr Deena Hinshaw reported 31 new deaths and 989 new positive cases for a positivity rate of 7.1%.

Pope Francis to receive COVID-19 vaccine, says it’s ethical choice for all

Pope Francis said on Saturday he plans to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as early as next week and urged everyone to get vaccinated, to protect not only their own lives but the lives of others.

“I believe that everyone ethically should take the vaccine,” the Pope said in an interview with Canale 5 TV channel. “It’s an ethical choice because you are playing with your health, with your life, but you also play with the lives of others. ”

Vatican City, the world’s smallest independent county, home to around 450 people, including Pope Francis, has announced that it will soon launch its own coronavirus vaccination campaign.

Ephraim Tiangha says there has been a painful absence at home since his best friend, a nursing aide at a long-term care center, died of COVID-19.

Tiangha fears another void that awaits him when he returns to work later this month at Bethany Riverview in Calgary, where he worked alongside Joe Marie (Jing) Corral in the same dementia unit.

“There is a void in the house,” he said. “In the workplace, there will be a void because we work as a team.”
