Bruno Fernandes hails invisible Man Utd ‘incredible professional’ after signing new deal

Bruno Fernandes has praised his Manchester United team-mate Nathan Bishop after the promising goalkeeper signed a new deal with the club.
Bishop, 21, joined United from Southend in January 2020 and has already caught the attention of Old Trafford coaches.

The Red Devils have given the England youth international improved conditions in a contract that runs until 2023, with the possibility of extending it for another year.

Bishop has yet to make his senior debut for the club and has made an appearance for the Under-21s this season.

But he clearly made a strong impression on United star man Fernandes, who sent a heartfelt message to his junior teammate.

Fernandes hailed Bishop as an ‘extraordinary professional’

Reacting to Bishop’s Instagram story sharing the news of his new deal, Fernandes wrote, “Well deserved, kid! Top boy and amazing professional, ”adding a punch emoji.

Bishop said it was “amazing” to have extended his contract with United in an interview with the club’s official website.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the youngster on loan in search of regular minutes, and Bishop would appreciate such an opportunity.

“You learn your craft by playing games, it’s the most exciting thing, playing games and preparing for it,” said the ball thrower – who was a regular feature on League One for Southend.

“I’m very excited to go out and hope to be able to play for a team and put all the work into it for the year. ”

Bishop also spoke about how he benefited from the daily training with the talented goalkeepers and coaching staff of the Red Devils.

He added: “To be able to work with David [De Gea] every day … David, Dean [Henderson], Subsidies [Lee Grant] and Sergio [Romero] as well as the two coaches I have at Rich [Richard Hartis] to Craig [Mawson] and the gaffer is fantastic too.

“His staff behind the scenes are brilliant and they help me in every way. In terms of development, I have made a lot of progress, I think.
