#New cases have been reported in these health regions:
The number of active cases in #British #Columbia has increased from 7,551 to 7,803.
There are now a total of 374 people in hospital due to COVID-19, of whom 76 are in intensive care – ICU or acute care units.
#Eight more people have died from COVID-related causes, bringing the death toll to 901 in the province.
9,364 people are isolated, under active public health surveillance, after exposure to COVID-19.
A total of 42,129 people have recovered from a new coronavirus.

#Three new health care facility outbreaks were reported across the province on #Thursday, at #Williams #Lake #Seniors #Village, #Ridge #Meadow #Hospital and #Langley #Memorial #Hospital.
#Two outbreaks were declared over, at the #Saanich #Peninsula #Hospital and at the #Bamfield #Pavilion.
#Additionally, the outbreak in the #Bighorn #Hotel community has been declared over.
#In total, there are 52 assisted long-term care homes, senior rental buildings, and nine acute care facilities with ongoing COVID-19 outbreaks.

#Island health
11 new cases were reported #Thursday in the #Island #Health region.
#As of #Thursday, there were 82 active cases left on the island. #By health service delivery area, these are:
- #South #Island: 44 | #Total number of cases: 324
- #Central #Island: 16 | #Total number of cases: 397
- #North #Island: 22 | #Total number of cases: 207
#No new deaths have been reported in the island’s health region. #Eight people remain in the hospital, including two in intensive care units.

#Vaccinations
17,510 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 across #British #Columbia with the vaccinations from #Pfizer and #Moderna.
#Dr. #Bonnie #Henry says the first doses of vaccine in rural, remote and #First #Nations communities have now been administered as supplies continue to arrive.
#Island #Health has administered its entire current supply of #Pfizer and will not have an operational vaccination clinic on #January 1, 2021.
