13 more coronavirus deaths bring Oregon’s COVID-19 toll to 1,490

#State officials on #Friday announced 13 more deaths from COVID-19, including seven people aged 70, 80 and 90 who died on the last two days of 2020.

The recently announced deaths bring the number of coronavirus deaths in the state to 1,490.

The state also announced 1,446 newly diagnosed cases of COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 115,339.

#And, while the state has received more than 190,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine, only 44,415 people have received one, the state said. The state reported that an additional 5,717 doses had been distributed: 3,385 administered on #New #Years #Eve and 2,332 more data earlier, but only reported to the state on #Thursday.

#So far, more than twice as many women as men have received a first dose of the vaccine in #Oregon.

#Multnomah, #Washington and #Deschutes counties had the highest number of newly registered cases. #But 32 of #Oregon’s 36 counties had at least one.

#Recently reported cases by county were: #Baker (10), #Benton (20), #Clackamas (90), #Clatsop (27), #Columbia (6), #Coos (13), #Crook (9), #Curry (8), #Deschutes (108), #Douglas (39), #Harney (3), #Hood #River (12), #Jackson (50), #Jefferson (15), #Josephine (41), #Klamath (2), #Lake (3), #Lane (88) , #Lincoln (10), #Linn (39), #Malheur (17), #Marion (205), #Morrow (10), #Multnomah (265), #Polk (21), #Tillamook (5), #Umatilla (57), #Union (3) , #Wallowa (1), #Wasco (11), #Washington (220) and #Yamhill (38).

#At least one of the people whose death was announced on #Friday had no underlying health problems. The 86-year-old #Marion #County resident died on #December 15.

The deaths of two other residents of #Marion #County have also been announced. #Both were 74-year-old men who died on #December 30 in #Salem hospital.

#Three residents of #Multnomah #County have died. A 55-year-old man died on #December 24, a 70-year-old woman died on #December 26, and a 90-year-old woman died on #December 30.

#An 85-year-old #Hood #River #County woman who tested positive on #Dec. 13 died #Dec. 31 at her home.

#Another #Hood #River #County resident, an 88-year-old man, tested positive on #December 4 and died on #December 31 at his residence.

#An 89-year-old woman from #Coos #County tested positive on #December 15 and died on #December 30 at her home.

#And a 63-year-old #Columbia #County woman who tested positive on #Dec.19 died the same day. The presence of underlying conditions and the location of death are being confirmed.
