Initial fears were that Neymar suffered a broken ankle in PSG’s 1-0 loss to Lyon de Mendes.
Analyzes have since determined that Neymar only suffered a sprain and may even be back before the Ligue 1 winter break.
But that hasn’t helped Mendes – who has received a red card – escape a barrage of abuse, including worrying threats to his safety and that of his family.
Mendes’ wife Kelly recited one of the many threats to GFFN , who said, “For your boyfriend’s actions, if anything happens to Neymar, you will pay with your life.” You and your family, one by one. ”

Kelly also explained how she called the police to help her deal with the threats, with all information being passed on to investigators.
Neymar’s father’s comments are unlikely to have done much to calm the fury, after criticizing authorities for failing to protect his son.

“We do not take the necessary measures throughout the match, during which Neymar was the victim of a dozen faults, always violent.
“It encourages this type of actor and attitude. ”
It looks like Neymar may be back in action sooner rather than later.
He updated fans on his Instagram account on Monday, saying his injury “could have been worse.”

And PSG boss Thomas Tuchel has suggested the 28-year-old may even be involved in Sunday’s clash against Lille.
Speaking ahead of PSG’s game against Lorient, which will take place on Wednesday, Tuchel said: “It is not impossible to see Neymar again before the winter break. Maybe against Lille, we hope.
“We will do everything for Lille. I can’t say yes or no. We have to wait to see the results of the last exams tomorrow. ”
