The shocking armed road rage attack on a family outside the school which they claim “the police did not attend”

It’s the terrifying moment a machete-wielding thug lashes out at an innocent family as they sit in their car with a child inside.
The man is seen banging his gun through the windshield and on the hood of the car during the road rage attack outside the school gates as parents drop their children off at Dudley this morning (December 9).

Victims claim that despite 999 repeated calls from other parents and the school, police did not attend.

Footage captured by the shocked Birmingham mother shows a man picking up the gun and punching it on the hood of the vehicle before smashing a car’s windshield.

The 23-year-old mother, who declined to be named, says that despite four,999 calls from witnesses and the school, West Midlands Police did not attend the incident “because the perpetrators had fled the places “.

She said she was “shocked and disappointed” that the police did not show up after the 9:11 am attack.

BirminghamLive has contacted West Midlands Police for comment.

The terrifying sight of the man wielding a machete

The health worker said his partner, who was driving, initially asked the driver of a van to slow down when he accelerated into a sharp bend. Seconds later, the van driver’s passenger carried out the unprovoked attack which was captured by the camera.

The mother told BirminghamLive: “It’s really traumatic. There were children walking around. It was outside the school doors.

“We are still in shock. They sped around the corner and almost cut us off. Both vehicles had to stop urgently because of the way he rolled over in the corner.

“Then he rolled down his window and my partner just said, ‘Brother, there are kids running, crossing the street – slow down next time.’

“And then it was pure aggro, making threats trying to grab my partner.”

“While he’s doing this, I can see the passenger come out. I figured it wasn’t doing any good and pulled out my phone to start recording it.

The moment a man goes on the attack

“You can see the machete in his hand. The video is less than 10 seconds – that’s how quickly it escalated.

“My daughter was also crying behind her back. She is absolutely traumatized. It’s disgusting. She keeps crying and asking her teachers, “Is mom okay? The bad guy smashed the window. ”

The mother said the men fled the scene but managed to notice the license plate of the gray Mercedes van.

Damage to a windshield after the attack

However, she says she heard nothing from the police after reporting the incident and being given a police registry number.

She claims she called agents via non-emergency number 101 to find out what was going on – but said she was initially told an agent would be in contact on Thursday, December 10.

“It’s not good enough,” the mom said. “He’s a dangerous man who pulled out a gun. The police must act now.

“A man with a machete has become free. It’s crazy. ”

She claims that her partner was later arrested by police because of the broken glass. He explained what had happened to the officers, who she said were “upset” and told her to have it fixed.

The mother later said an inspector had been in contact, following the BirminghamLive investigations, and said an officer would take a statement this evening, Wednesday, December 9.
