The 43-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter also showed the sacrifice her body had to make in order to be able to dance to the BBC show’s semi-final.
She was denied a spot in the final after the judges picked Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing over her place in the dance, and Ranvir took to Instagram to say goodbye to the competition.
There have been rumors that her relationship with her dance partner Giovanni has been more than “strictly professional” and she once again said “I adore you” while sharing her annoyance at missing the finale.
Writing on Instagram, Ranvir said: “Sadly that wasn’t the case – but what a way forward… on a beautiful waltz that got a score of 8.9.9 in the semi-finals of @bbcstrictly, I don’t could not have done more!
“My amazing partner – you @ pernicegiovann1 did your best to get me to the final and I’m just disappointed for you.
“I adore you ❤️ My feet are relieved to no longer be punished and although my heart is a little sad for tonight – I am really proud of what we have achieved below zero ability and confidence to start feeling magic in Paso, Foxtrot, American Smooth, Argentinian tango, Viennese waltz and a classical waltz! With a tight Cha cha and Jive for good measure. ”
Ranvir added, “Thanks everyone @bbcstrictly for letting me be a part of the show and thanks to everyone who voted and supported us for the past two months. ❤️
“What a privilege to be part of a show that gives so much joy to the country in this year 2020 xxx”
Ranvir quickly received praise from celebrities who took up the Strictly challenge, from this series and from times past.
Her GMB colleague, Charlotte Hawkins, who also graced the sacred dance floor, wrote: “Oh Ranvir so sad to see you go you have been amazing! Huge well done! Sending love xxx ”
Maisie Smith, strictly finalist, added: “I feel honored to have danced on the same stage as such a wonderful person bravo beautiful xxx”
While Clara Amfo, who was knocked out earlier in the show, wrote: “You buddy … gorgeous inside and out, a woman, a real life superhero and a beautiful dancer, be so proud of yourself. ”
It came a day after Ranvir showed the painful sacrifice she makes every week while dancing on the show.
Sharing a photo of her toes, each wrapped in band-aids, the GMB presenter paid tribute to Strictly Physio for keeping her able to perform every week.
She captioned the photo, “The magic of @bbcstrictly physio cannot be underestimated! Thanks @jen_nash_ Don’t forget to put your pigs in blankets for Christmas dinner by the way… ”
Ranvir can now stand up without having to put on his dancing shoes for at least a few weeks.
