Ranvir Singh admits he had a ‘special thing’ with Giovanni Pernice as they reunite


The chemistry of Ranvir Singh of Strictly Come Dancing and Giovanni Pernice on the dance floor was clear to all.
And now the TV reporter, 43, has shared that she and the professional dancer have a ‘special thing’ that she calls ‘deep and intense’.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday and speaking to colleagues Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, Ranvir explained how she and Giovanni – who were kicked out of the BBC show over the weekend – bonded during the ‘training.

She also revealed that she and the Italian performer – with whom fans speculated she was romantically involved – are due to reunite today as they practice for a group dance for the show of Saturday.

After Susanna asked if she missed Giovanni, Ranvir replied, “You know I’m going to see him today as we do a group dance on Saturday!” ”

Lifting the lid on their future, she added, “We will remain friends because we have been through something quite deep and intense. It’s a special thing. I love him, he’s a very special soul. ”

Piers then brazenly alluded to the rumors of romance going around, replying: “People can read whatever they like. ”

He then joked, “He needs to train to be a same-sex relationship with me for next year!” ”

Elsewhere during the conversation, Ranvir said she didn’t think she would have succeeded as far as she did in the competition without Giovanni.

She shared, “He’s so motivated – he has tattoos like ‘born to win’ – and if you’re in the same room as him, you have a duty to be as motivated as him. ”

Ranvir also said that “he was really important” for her growth in the series and added that if she was paired with someone else she might not have reached the semi-finals.

She gushed, “We’re chalk and cheese and opposites bring out the best in each other, and I think that’s what’s happening. ”

The couple were excluded from the BBC contest over the weekend.

They lost the dreaded dance-off to Jamie Laing and his dance partner Karen Hauer.
