A contemporary reimagining of Troma Entertainment’s 1984 hit low budget action comedy, The poisonous avenger is steeped in environmental themes and subverts the genre of superheroes in the vein of Dead Pool. When a struggling man is pushed into a vat of toxic waste, he is transformed into a mutant monster who must go from evaded outcast to oppressed hero as he runs to save his son, friends and community from the forces of the corruption and greed. Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz of Troma will be the producers.
