Oregon nurse on leave after posting video saying she does not follow safety guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 when not at work has agreed to stop practicing , according to the archives.
State records show Ashley Grames agreed to stop nursing for an indefinite period. The change is already in effect and is not considered a discipline.
These agreements, called “interim consent orders,” remain in effect until the Oregon State Board of Nursing votes to rescind them and either take disciplinary action or allow the licensee to practice again.
Salem Health, meanwhile, told the Oregonian / OregonLive on Tuesday that it no longer employs Grames. It was not clear whether she had resigned or been fired.
Salem Health has previously said she is investigating her post, in which she said she does not wear a mask in public, travels and allows her children to have play dates.
The nurse’s original TikTok video was deleted, along with her account, but a duet of her video with a side-by-side reaction from another user remained on the app. She wore scrubs and had a stethoscope draped over her shoulders in her video, which appears to have been recorded in a break room.
