A new batch of behind-the-scenes photos from Disney + ‘s highly anticipated MCU series New York City Hawk Eye surfaced online via Twitter which you can check out below, featuring Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, as well as the adorable Lucky the Pizza Dog. In one of the set photos that features a Chinese New Year poster, it looks like the series takes place two years later Avengers: Endgame in 2025.

Additionally, eagle-eyed fans also spotted Renner wearing a hearing aid in set photos, which fueled speculation that Marvel Studios would finally be adapting one of Hawkeye’s main storylines from the comics. . It’s also worth noting that in the recently released set photos, Renner and Steinfeld are seen sitting seated in front of a door that featured a sign in Mandarin that would apparently translate to “hearing therapist.”

It will be directed by Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood, aka Bert and Bertie, who are best known for their work on Troop zero, et Rhys Thomas (Summer of Staten Island). Hawk Eye is slated to debut in fall 2021 on Disney +.

In the comics, Bishop becomes Hawkeye after Clint Barton, and is also a member of the Young Avengers. Disney has yet to confirm whether they intend to give Bishop his own spinoff show or have it appear in the MCU later, but it’s certainly a possibility.

The project’s working title “Anchor Point” actually serves as a tribute to the first volume of Kelly Thompson’s fan-favorite comic book series that was released in 2017. Titled as Vol. 1: Anchor points, this was Kate Bishop’s first solo comic series after appearing in the Young Avengers problems. However, it is still unclear whether or not the storyline of said comics would connect with the plot of the series.
