Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones pay homage to a legend.
Douglas lost his father, Hollywood icon Kirk Douglas, in February at the age of 103.
Now, in memory of the star of “Sparticus”, Douglas and Zeta-Jones have shown him a little love on social networks.
For her part, Zeta-Jones shared a black and white photo of Kirk planting a kiss on her cheek as she leaned over his shoulder with her eyes closed.

“I miss you everyday,” she wrote in the caption. “Happy birthday Pappy. ”
The “Chicago” star, 51, added a pink and red heart emoji to the post.
Douglas, 76, shared an audio message on a slideshow of retrospective photos of himself and his old man.
“The best advice my dad gave me was, ‘Whatever you do, you do it to the best of your ability,” said the Oscar winner. “You leave this job knowing that you could not have done more. ”

He added, “And then, shit, walk away. You did your best. Don’t look back. ”

“Happy birthday, Dad. I miss you, ”he said. “Love, Michael.
The actor pair opened up to Entertainment Tonight earlier this year to reflect on the late star.
“Another generation ago was the big generation after WWII… and dad was one of a kind,” said Douglas.
At the time, the couple were raising money for a fundraiser, “We all play our part: A benefit for the MPTF,” from the Motion Picture & Television Fund, which benefits its COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund, according to Entertainment Tonight.

As for what Kirk would think of their efforts? Douglas said he thought his father would be “very happy”.
“I know he’s especially proud – not so much of everything I’ve worked with and do with the Motion Picture Television Fund – but I know he loves Catherine. [and] the work she does, ”he says.
The “Kominsky Method” star continued, “He always used to tease me. We would call him and he would say, ‘Enough with you, let me talk to your wife.’ It was a flirtation until the very end. ”
“Oh yeah, that’s a great flirtation,” Zeta-Jones echoed Entertainment Tonight.

“It crosses our minds every day. But for me, during this period of ”OK we are all locked up, what are you doing? “It’s so easy to get into a mood of procrastination,” she noted. “And Kirk, he’s been through so much, from a helicopter crash to a stroke and then to age, being alone and what does he do this time around.”

“And what was so admirable about him was that he was always involved in events of courage, he wrote 11 books, he worked with his rabbi, he worked with his philanthropic efforts and he always created something to do and he taught me that lesson, ”Zeta -Jones explained. “He always told us, ‘Write a book, do something else. What are you doing? And he would be working on something right now, I’m sure. ”
