Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared their 2020 Christmas card, offering a rare glimpse of son Archie and their two dogs.
The arty card was released in partnership with the Mayhew animal welfare charity, of which the Duchess of Sussex is the godmother.

The digitally painted Christmas card features an artistic drawing of the royal couple, with their son Archie and their two dogs playing outside.

Harry sits at the door of a shed with Archie – now one year old – on his lap as Meghan watches and reaches out to her young son.

The trio smiles and laughs in the touching scene.

Archie, who hasn’t been seen in public since he was a baby, appears to have his father’s red hair.

He can be seen wearing a navy sweater with blue jeans and white sneakers for the festive sketch, featuring the two family dogs Pula and Guy. Her father wears blue jeans.

The Sussexes have reportedly donated to the animal charity and their boss, Duchess Meghan, has sent a special message.

The charity tweeted: “We are delighted to receive wonderful Christmas greetings from our patroness, the Duchess of Sussex, who has also made a personal donation, helping dogs, cats and our community.

“From all of us at Mayhew, thank you and Merry Christmas. ”



Archie hasn’t been seen in public since he was a baby

In the card, the Duchess confirms that her family has made a personal donation to Mayhew, who will support her work to help dogs, cats and communities.

In her Christmas message, Meghan says, “This year as a family we have donated to several charities with you in mind.

“From a local California organization that helps families get out of homelessness, to two of our UK patronages: one supporting animal and community welfare, and the other, a memorial fund for a cherished friend who helps educate children and fight poverty in Uganda, we honored their work on behalf of all of us.

The charity said it was “honored” to have the Duchess as its patron, as she has “a long history of animal welfare advocacy”

Caroline Yates, CEO of Mayhew, said: “We are delighted to have the Duchess of Sussex as our patron, and she has highlighted our community animal welfare work over the past two years.

“We were particularly honored to recently receive a personal donation from the Duke and Duchess, which will allow us to help even more cats, dogs and pets in need during this difficult winter time.

A statement from Mayhew says: “The generosity of the Duke and Duchess will help Mayhew overcome the continuing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and allow us to reach animals and people in need.

“As has been the case for many organizations, 2020 has put enormous pressure on Mayhew’s projects.

“We were proud to be able to adapt; providing care for animals and owners in need, continuing to provide veterinary care to our animals and even adapting our TheraPaws program so residents of nursing homes, hospitals and mental health facilities can continue. to experience the joy of animal interaction.

“Patronage has placed more emphasis on these animal welfare issues and has increased public awareness and understanding; and we look forward to continuing to work with the Duchess to help even more animals and people. ”

Prince Harry is reportedly spending Christmas with his wife Meghan and one-year-old son Archie at home in California.
