She became the first celebrity to be eliminated from The Masked Singer’s new series on Saturday.

But Sophie Ellis-Bextor has revealed that she knows she was “scolded” on the show after three of the judges quickly predicted she was Alien.

Viewers weren’t surprised by Alien’s identity after assuming it was the Murder On The Dancefloor hitmaker, 41, because of her “distinctive” voice and “easy” clues.

No surprise there! Sophie Ellis-Bextor has revealed that she knows she has been “scolded” on the show after three of the judges quickly predicted she was an alien.

And Sophie admitted that the judges – Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall – threw her name into the mix, but he was cut from the final cut.

She said to the sun: “They didn’t put it in the cut, but three of the judges also spoke my name, so I already knew that, so I was scolded. “

Sadly, neither of the judges stayed with her as the final answer, with Lily Allen, Anna Cooper, Sophie Dahl, and Brenda Blethyn instead.

The singer tried to disguise her recognizable voice by singing Dont Start Now by Dua Lipa, but said even her 23-month-old son Mickey guessed it was her.

Sophie joked that her other four children – Sonny, 16, Kit, 11, Ray, eight, and Jesse, five – asked her “why the hell” she bothered to put on a “weird accent” on the series.

She continued, “My kids found it absolutely hilarious that I put on such a weird accent, they were like ‘why the hell did you do that? ”

But Sophie admitted that she was “quite surprised” that everyone easily guessed she was behind the mask, because she thought she had done “a good job”.

She explained, “You want to have a recognizable voice if you’re a singer, but I felt like I did a good job, so I was quite surprised. “

The pop star, married to Richard Jones, was forced to unmask on Saturday after finding herself in the bottom three alongside Badger and Swan.

She wrote, “Even my one year old pointed at the TV and screamed” mum! When I started singing in the alien costume!

‘Anyhoo a fun and trippy way to spend a few days and enjoy the rest of the show – no idea who anyone is!’

While fans correctly guessed that Sophie was Alien, many also assumed her compatriot Robin is the star of JLS Aston Merrygold.
