Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, she said: “People have sent me direct messages. Comments like “you are Verity’s bitch, you are her little dog”. So by defending it, I get attacked.
“Honestly, it was death threats over death threats. And some really nasty stuff that attacks my appearance as well. My teeth, my weight, my attitude. People call me a monster and get on my nerves. What have I done, really, other than defend my best friend?
Amelia admitted that she was looking forward to the episode – which was the second to last in the series – which aired on Monday, as she didn’t think there was anything in the scene to create a reaction.
‘I was like’ I’m so excited about this’ [scene]. It shows that I have developed a spine. And I was loyal to Verity because she struggled with this streak, delving into these pickles, people don’t like her.

But then all of these comments come in. Accounts with weird names that don’t have any followers. I don’t understand who can be so vile?
Amelia has also been called “racist” by some, due to the color of Paris’ skin.
She said: “I have been accused of ganging up against someone of another race. Accused of racism. People call me a bully and say that bullying is not okay. No it is not. And they tell me to stop doing it, but they’re the ones who go out of their way to send someone they don’t know a bad message.
Amelia – who has been on MIC for two years – admitted it cuts deeply and can affect her own sanity.
A rose between two thorns? Although she was caught in the middle more than anything else, Amelia was bombarded with “death threats on death threats” as a result.

“I consider myself to be thick skinned. Yet you are certainly starting to question yourself, ”she admits. “You think, ‘Am I such a bad person and have I done wrong? ”
“These people have no idea who we are and what we have been through ourselves. And these negative comments can affect us and in some cases lead to the worst thing.
“I have suffered from anxiety myself – severely in the past – and while I’m fine now, that sort of thing is a trigger.
“I wake up and scroll down to find hate messages and DMs on my phone. It’s horrible. I don’t want to wake up and feel like the worst person.

The reality personality thinks Instagram could be harder on trolls.
“This shouldn’t happen. Instagram should be more proactive and if you post a comment they should get rid of it.
Amelia revealed that she texted Paris after the scene aired to verify it.
“He’s not a bad person. And I texted her saying I’m here if you need me. She responded to say thank you.
I got her back: “I was loyal to Verity because she struggled with this streak, delving into those pickles, people didn’t like her,” Amelia said of her best friend.
Speaking of how she always navigates the traps of being in the public eye, Amelia added, “I’m learning to adapt to it. It is about accepting me, who I am. I might not be as skinny and perfect as the rest of the girls on the show, but I’m learning to accept myself for who I am.
“And what I am is a diplomat. If I see that something is wrong, I will say something to correct it.
The drama escalated when Verity’s ex-Tristan Phipps gave her a throwaway comment that they “had never had break-up sex.”
Verity mentioned this to Paris, who ran to Liv and told her, while Liv began to develop feelings for Tristan.
In scenes aired on Monday, Amelia told Paris she shouldn’t assume she knew exactly what was said and how it was planned because they weren’t there at the time.
