Katy Perry has recruited a lookalike to star in her latest music video.
The 36-year-old singer mocked comparisons between her and Zooey Deschanel for her latest music video, associated with the song “Not the End of the World.”
The video opens with Deschanel, 40, reading a newspaper as Perry walks his baby in a stroller.

However, the aliens shine on the bad fame when Perry and Deschenael briefly cross paths.
Inside the spaceship, the “New Girl” star is greeted by a large group of aliens, who believe her to be Perry.
Deschanel tries to explain the misunderstanding but it doesn’t seem to fit.
The aliens explain that it is, in fact, the end of the world, as they saved the star about an hour before Earth self-destructs.

The star is then dressed in one of Perry’s iconic looks – a bright blue wig. Other references to the hit album “Teenage Dream” from 2014, including nods to the music video “California Gurls” are featured.
Just in time, Deschanel is able to unplug a plug to disconnect the Internet from Earth.
“Earth is saved! Reads a monitor on board the ship.
Deschanel and the aliens celebrate, chanting, “Katy! Katy! Katy! ”
The “Elf” actress then syncs to the song while wearing a cosmic themed outfit to play for aliens. They clap loudly as Deschanel winks at the camera.
