Jesy Nelson leaves Little Mix to focus on mental health

“The truth is, being in the band recently really took a toll on my sanity. “

It’s the end of an era – Jesy Nelson has announced that she is leaving Little Mix.

Earlier today, the 29-year-old singer took to Instagram to explain the reasoning behind her departure.

Jesy has been a member of Little Mix since the band was born on The X factor in 2011, but now she’s ready to focus on herself.

“The truth is, being in the band recently really took a toll on my sanity,” Jesy wrote in a statement.

“I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and meeting expectations very difficult. “

“There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making others happy, and I feel it’s time to start that process.

“So after careful consideration and with a heavy heart, I announce that I am leaving Little Mix. “

“I need to spend time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy. I am ready to start a new chapter in my life. ”

“I don’t know what it’s going to look like now, but I hope you’ll always be there to support me.” “

The other Little Mix members assured Jesy that they would always support her no matter what.

After 9 amazing years together, Jesy made the decision to leave Little Mix. It is an incredibly sad time for all of us, but we fully support Jesy.

They then expressed their love for her and the importance of taking care of your mental health.

We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being. We still enjoy our Little Mix trip very much and we are not ready for it to be over.

Like Jesy, they know the news of his release will surprise fans, but they’re proud to have joined them on this crazy ride for the past nine years.

We know Jesy leaving the group is going to be really heartbreaking news for our fans. We love you guys so much and are very grateful for your loyalty and continued support to all of us.

Little Mix also shared the same post on their Instagram.

Of course, we’re sad to see Jesy go, but we’re also proud of her for recognizing that she needs to take a step back.
