Earlier this week, it was reported that Cruise scolded two crew members who were seen standing too close to each other in front of a computer screen, saying, “If I see you doing it at again, you’re gone.
Today (December 18), McQuarrie shared a photo on Instagram from the filming of the film, writing, “To everyone who makes travel possible. To your loved ones at home. Have the best vacation. And thank you. ”
The image shows a ramp built on scaffolding and rising high in the sky on a misty background. The installation – which is used for one of Cruise’s motorcycle stunts in the film – is said to be in an isolated mountain valley in Norway, where filming resumed earlier this year.
McQuarrie’s post didn’t mention Cruise’s explosion, but his positive post seemed to directly contrast the main man’s post.
“We are the gold standard,” Cruise can be heard in an audio file obtained by The sun. “They’re back in Hollywood making movies because of us. Because they believe in us and what we do.
“I’m on the phone with all the fucking studios at night, insurance companies, producers and they watch us and use us to make their movies. We’re creating thousands of jobs, motherfuckers. I never want to see him again. Already! ”
The actor and producer criticized the team for taking advantage of the safe environment created on set, following the multiple delays the film encountered while filming.
Five crew members have reportedly resigned Mission: impossible 7 after Cruise’s rant.
Meanwhile, George Clooney responded to Cruise’s outburst, saying he understands why the actor-producer did it.
