The Castle Coin Daily Challenge has been renamed the Castle Pub Challenge, with Shane Richie and Beverley Callard winning a trip to the Castle Inn by correctly guessing the names of Britain’s most popular pubs.
After a not-so-successful start, they persevered and got the dream prize, much to the delight of everyone in the castle when they were told they had been promised drinks and snacks.
And what a reward it turned out to be when they walked into a pub decorated with Christmas decorations, with Jordan very excited as they enjoyed a “substantial meal – pies, peas, chips and gravy, which Vernon and Giovanna had.” won for them in the lawsuit.
Like any great British pub, karaoke was also on the menu and it was up to Shane, who once had a hit with a cover of Wham’s I’m Your Man, to kick things off with his version of The Jam’s A Town Called Malice. . , before Jordan crushes I Will Survive a bit.
The entertainment continued with Mo and Shane singing Spandau Ballet’s Gold before Giovanna and Vernon singing and dancing through Backstreet Boy’s Everybody and Jessica led the group in a lively group performance of All I Want For Christmas by then-Mariah Carey. that they were all hugging and holding garlands in the air.
Celebrity Night was almost too much for viewers to take as many of them prepare to break out of isolation, to enter level 3, where all pubs will be closed except those who offer take-out meals.
One tweeted: “The fact that celebrities can go pub in a frosty castle in Wales but me stuck at level 3… I can’t”, and another responded: “Can I move into the celebrity castle , I want to go to the pub please ”
Twitter was inundated with tweets from Brits wanting to spend a night in their premises, with a third post: “Tragic situation when comrades at camp I’m a celebrity go to the pub more than I do in December”, and another comment: “J love how celebrities do in a pub but we can. ”
Although she won the award, Beverley was unable to go to the pub as she and Victoria were eliminated before they left.
