I’m A Celebrity double eviction sees Beverley Callard and Victoria Derbyshire voted out

There was a huge shock to this year’s I Am a Celebrity contestants on Monday night when two of them received their marching orders from the public.
After speculation hours earlier, hosts Ant and Dec confirmed at the start of tonight’s episode that there would be a double eviction, with a pair of celebrities being kicked out after Hollie Arnold and Ruthie Henshall left.

And after Sunday’s highlights including Ruthie who pitched an Oliver and Russell Watson classic on their first solo try, the Geordie duo dropped the elimination bomb on the unsuspecting campmates, who have assumed only one of them would leave.

I’m A Celebrity viewers had nearly an hour to vote before Ant and Dec headed to the candidates’ living quarters to deliver the bad news.

Ahead of the show, bookies said it was a three-horse race between BBC reporter Victoria Derbyshire, Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard and opera singer Russell over who would get the boot .

And in the end, they proved they were right, because it was indeed those three that were downstairs, with Beverley and Victoria having voted.

Their campmates looked visibly moved as the two said goodbye to each other, but Beverley assured them, “I’m fine” and Victoria left with a big smile on her face.
