The news comes after Kirsty-Leigh, 31, chose to keep the pregnancy a secret following the tragic stillbirth of her daughter Penny-Leigh in 2018.
The actress, best known for her role as fan favorite Leela Lomax on the Channel 4 soap opera, shared a black and white image of her partner Paul Barber carrying her newborn baby in a car seat.
Kirsty-Leigh’s post came with a caption of emojis featuring a rainbow, baby, sparks, and prayer hands.
Fans of the actress flooded her post in the comments section with sweet congratulatory messages.
One follower wrote: “Congratulations on your little rainbow, penny-leigh will always watch over you”.
Another commented: “Oh how amazing! Massive congratulations to you. I gave birth to my baby Rainbow 6 months ago! ”
Meanwhile, another Instagram user wrote:

The actress previously portrayed villainous Roz Fielding from 2010-2012 on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale.
Addressing her heartbreaking loss to Penny-Leigh in 2018, Kirsty-Leigh posted in early 2019: “I’m posting this for Penny-Leigh, I’m posting this for every woman and man who has messaged me with their stories of their sleeping angels. ”
I continue to write directly to her daughter, writing, “My heart is aching physically, it’s in a million pieces and while they try to find their way back together, it’s no use because my heart will be gone. never healed.
“Nothing makes sense anymore because I can’t hold you in my arms anymore. I don’t see your first smile, your first wriggle, I can’t dress you, change your diaper, feed you …
“But I’ll always be your mom. I will always make you proud. ”
She also spoke of her sense of guilt that consumed her following the tragic loss.
Kirsty-Leigh added, “My mind cannot understand how I gave birth but my baby is not here with me. How is it going? …
“With overwhelming grief comes guilt. If I’m not a bunch on the bathroom floor hiding me crying, I aim aimlessly in the room with guilt. ”
The star confirmed the loss in December 2018 with a heartbreaking message.
She wrote: “Our beautiful baby girl, Penny-Leigh Barber was born asleep on December 21, 2018 at 6:49 am, 29 weeks and 3 days young.
“My heart has never felt such pain. Slowly sleep our angel. We will always love you. Love your mom and dad.
” My everything. ”
