This is the second night in a row that the popular courier has encountered a problem.
Thousands of users, including Gmail customers in the UK, have reported problems sending emails to the Downdetector crash-tracking site.
Users reported bouncing emails and difficulty receiving messages.
Google has confirmed that Gmail users are having problems, the Express reports.
Maps of the outages suggest that users in the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand are among those affected.
Users started reporting issues with Gmail around 10:00 p.m. GMT on Tuesday.
Some users were also reporting issues with Gmail’s user login services.
A statement on Google on its site told customers, “Our team is continuing to investigate this issue.
“We will provide you with an update by 12/15/20, 5:00 PM with more information on this issue. Thank you for your patience.
“Affected users can access Gmail, but see error messages, high latency, and / or other unexpected behavior. ”
Another message from the Gmail support team on Twitter also confirms that there is an outage, saying, “Our team is aware of this issue and is working on a fix. Thank you for your patience. ”
