French Forsee Power will supply battery systems to Kubota

The French company Forsee Power, a major player in smart battery systems for the electromobility market, has announced that it has been selected by the Japanese Kubota as a partner for the development of batteries to equip their micro-hybrid engines for vehicles. light construction and agricultural.
Kubota is a leading global player in industrial engines under 100 HP and also a leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles. More than half of their engines are sold to other OEMs and exported.

Forsee Power says this is the first significant transaction for the company in the rapidly growing all-terrain vehicle market. The company says it is driven by its expertise in developing battery systems and taking advantage of the availability of a comprehensive offering for the electromobility markets, and will develop the battery solution for Kubota’s 48V micro-hybrid motor.

According to the French company, pure electrification is not the only possible solution to achieve emissions reduction targets; hybridization is also an effective and viable approach for many classes of vehicles.

After a year of R&D, Forsee Power says its engineers have developed a new high power Forsee Pulse solution incorporating lithium titanate oxide (LTO) cells known for their long life and very high power characteristics, ideal for hybrid applications. It has been designed to comply with Kubota specifications, which include battery installations in various types of customer vehicles, such as construction machinery, agriculture, material handling.

Sébastien Rembauville-Nicolle, Managing Director – Business Development, Forsee Power said: “We are very happy to be working with Kubota, one of the world leaders in the off-road vehicle market. This is an important step forward for us in this promising market, but also the first development project for a Japanese customer, known to manufacture very high quality products. It’s a great achievement and our team is extremely motivated to go above and beyond Kubota’s expectations.

Forsee Power Group claims to have a strong industrial footprint designed to meet the needs of its customers globally. It has manufacturing sites in Europe (France and Poland) and Asia (China and India) which host automated battery assembly lines whose production capacities – currently 1 GWh – are increasing each year to meet strong demand. heavy and light electromobility.

The company says it is committed to mitigating climate change with zero-emission solutions for electric mobility and has made off-road vehicles a key area of development for 2021. The electrification of this market is expected to increase sevenfold over the past seven years and will have a great impact on people and the environment. Indeed, the battery is not only about reducing CO2 emissions; it also improves general health conditions at work because it does not emit any noise or vibration.
