FKA Twigs sues ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf for “physical and emotional abuse” | Ents & Arts News

Singer FKA Twigs has taken legal action against her former partner Shia LaBeouf, claiming the actor was physically and emotionally abusive during their relationship.

The opening lines of the Los Angeles lawsuit say: ” Shia LaBeouf hurts women.

“He uses them, he abuses them, both physically and mentally. He is dangerous. ”

the 32-year-old British singer, real name Tahlia Barnett, says LaBeouf left her in a state of fear and humiliation after allegedly throwing her on the side of a car, knowingly giving her a sexually transmitted disease and attempting to strangle.

According to the lawsuit, LaBeouf demanded full loyalty from FKA Twigs after she was convinced to move in with him, claiming the actor had isolated her from family and friends.

She also claims that she woke up on Valentine’s Day in 2019, LaBeouf suffocating her, and then threatened to have her car crashed if she didn’t profess her undying love for him.

Responding, LaBeouf said in an email to The New York Times: “I have no excuses for my alcoholism or my aggressiveness, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years.

“I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of this story and sorry for those I hurt. ”

He adds that he is currently recovering from alcoholism and PTSD, saying he will “forever miss those I hurt along the way”.

Other women spoke to the newspaper and made other allegations against the actor.

La Beouf says many of the allegations in the lawsuit, as well as those made by other women, are “not true”.

The couple met on the set of LaBeouf’s autobiographical film Honey Boy, in which FKA Twigs had a supporting role.
