Fantasy Football Week 15 Quarterback Preview: Streamers, DFS Games, Screenings & More

You might think that with most leagues up to the last four there would be little need for streamers. Considering that I won last week with Mitchell Trubisky, Philip Rivers and Jalen Hurts, I don’t agree. The need is only exacerbated by the injury to Matthew Stafford and the recent poor form of Ben Roethlisberger and Matt Ryan. If Drew Brees is able to come back and knock Taysom Hill down, we might have another team looking for a starter. Fortunately, there are two really good streamers available: Trubisky and Hurts.

Hurts is the best consensus streaming option, and it’s not hard to see why. He just ran for 106 yards against the Saints of all teams, and we haven’t seen him fail as often as Trubisky. But we haven’t seen the same benefit either.

Trubisky has exceeded 30 Fantasy Points twice this year and he has done so five times in 2018 and 2019 combined. Trubisky has consistently shown the top 12 on the rise, which is close to 25 Fantasy Points in today’s NFL. He has scored 24 or more in seven of his last 16 complete games. This is something we just haven’t seen from Hurts.

It is interesting to note my use of “full sets” in the previous paragraph. Due to Matt Nagy’s penchant for benches, Trubisky’s floor may be lower than Hurts. Then again, it’s hard to say what Hurts’s floor is, or what it would take for Doug Pederson to get back to Wentz. With floors uncertain for both quarters, I’ll go with Trubisky’s advantage as the top streamer of Week 15.
