Emmerdale reveals shocking return to Christmas for Debbie Dingle

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

It wouldn’t be Christmas in soapland without a shocking comeback to create a bit of tension on D-Day.

Emmerdale has now released a brand new Christmas trailer, revealing that none other than Debbie Dingle is set to return during the holiday season and that she’s not happy with the state she finds things in.

An emotional Debbie – played by Charley Webb – tells Charity (Emma Atkins): “She’s my little girl, my responsibility. “

Charity has been on a downward spiral recently and is still struggling to cope with her breakup with Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), using alcohol to cope.

She also neglected her children and granddaughter Sarah Sugden, whom she was supposed to care for while Debbie was in Scotland.

In real life, actress Webb is on maternity leave following the birth of her third child, Ace, along with husband and co-star Matthew Wolfenden (who plays David Metcalfe on the soap opera).
