Ellen DeGeneres tests positive for coronavirus as she tells fans she ‘feels good’


Ellen DeGeneres has tested positive for Covid-19, telling fans that she “feels good”.
The American television host, 62, said in a statement on Twitter that she was following the proper guidelines and had informed people she had recently come into contact with.

DeGeneres, who usually tapes her shows in advance, appeared in her regular slot machine Wednesday, with Broadway star Leslie Odom Jr among her guests.

She wrote: ‘Hi everyone, I want you all to know that I have tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, I am feeling good at the moment.

“Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all CDC guidelines. I’ll see you all after the holidays. Please stay safe and healthy. ”

DeGeneres, one of America’s most prominent television personalities, recently apologized to staff after an internal review by Warner Bros. found “shortcomings in the day-to-day running of the show.”

The review was initiated following reports of a toxic work environment within the program.

The comedian and actress has always been known for her bubbly on-screen persona and her mantra of “be kind”, often taking part in lavish gifts or acts of charity.

The show received 171 Daytime Emmy Award nominations and won 61 Daytime Emmy Awards as of 2020.
