Ed Sheeran has shared his first new music in almost 18 months – tune in to “The Afterglow” below.
The star last shared new music with the 2019 album “No.6 Collaborations Project”, which saw him team up with Stormzy, Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, Cardi B and more.

After teasing the song’s release yesterday, Sheeran has now released the new track. ” Hi guys. Afterglow is a song I wrote last year and wanted to release for you, ”he said in a statement.

“It’s not the first single from the next album, it’s just a song that I like and I hope you like it too.” Enjoy ! Have a good and happy festive break and the New Year. Back at daddy’s land for me now, ciao x. ”

Meanwhile, Sheeran donated £ 10,000 to the hospital treating her late grandmother last month (November 21). The money went to the League of Friends of Aldeburgh Hospital to be invested in purchasing musical instruments for dementia patients and those with special needs and audiovisual disabilities, according to reports.

The donation followed him by donating £ 170,000 to his old school earlier in 2020 to provide key equipment for students. The singer attended Thomas Mills School in Framlingham, Suffolk and is said to have donated the huge sum in an effort to help other students succeed.

NME gave Sheeran’s “No.6 Collaborations Project” three out of five stars when it was released in July 2019. The review said, “In 10 or 20 years, ‘No. 6 Collaborations Project ‘might be the perfect time capsule of what pop was in 2019.It’s less of an album, more a collection of savvy and generally savvy collaborations that subconsciously blurs the boundaries of traditional genres and recognizes that Latin pop is the sound of the near future. ”
