EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEndersBen Mitchell will find himself suspect next week, as Ian regains some memory of the night of his attack.
A fragile Ian (Adam Woodyatt) will return from the hospital in Monday’s episode (December 14), but he’s still paranoid that his attacker is on the run.
As Ian struggles to cope, Kathy is distracted by her grandson’s mental health issues and calls on Callum to help Bobby talk about his OCD.
She is furious when Bobby mentions that Peter knew all about his struggles and confronts him in The Vic, in front of Ian and Sharon.
When Peter gets mean with Kathy in retaliation, his words infuriate Ben – who throws Peter to the ground.
However, Ben’s violent explosion against Peter triggers Ian’s memory from the night of the attack and he later tells Sharon that it was Ben who attacked him.
Things then go from bad to worse for Ben when Suki approaches him following an incriminating discovery on his part.
Suki tells Ben that she saw CCTV footage from the Minute Mart that shows him leaving the pub as Ian was attacked.
Meanwhile, Ian is even more frightened when he sees a letter addressed to him outside the Vic with a bullet inside.
Ian gets the message loud and clear; he wanted to die. But is Ben responsible or is the attacker someone else?
EastEnders airs these scenes Monday, December 14 at 8:05 p.m. on BBC One.
