DWP confirms new universal credit and other benefit payment rates for 2021

The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced its new payment rates for next year.
Whether it’s universal credit, housing allowance, and income support, here’s how much you’ll get paid.

The benefit rate will increase by 0.5% and this will take effect on April 5, BristolLive reports.

Attendance allowance

  • Premium fare: £ 89.60 (from £ 89.15)
  • Lower fare: £ 60 (from £ 59.70)

Caregiver allowance

  • April 2021 price: £ 67.60 (from £ 67.25)

Disabled allowance

Care component

  • Highest: £ 89.60 (from £ 89.15)
  • Medium: £ 60 (from £ 59.70)
  • Lowest: £ 23.70 (from £ 23.60)

Mobility component

  • Senior: £ 62.55 (from £ 62.25)
  • Lower: £ 23.70 (from £ 23.60)

Employment and support allowance

  • Under 25: £ 59.20 (from £ 58.90)
  • 25 or more: € 74.70 (from € 74.35)

Housing allowance

  • Under 25: £ 59.20 (from £ 58.90)

  • Entitlement to ESA main stage: £ 74.70 (from £ 74.35)

Disability benefit (long term)

  • April 2021 price: £ 114.70 (from £ 114.15)
