Australian monolith covered in cryptic coordinates for global locations

The monolith saga is far from over as new pillars keep appearing in strange places around the world.

One of the most recent pillars was discovered in Australia. It is three meters tall and, like the others, is constructed of shiny silver metal.

But, unlike pristine monoliths appearing elsewhere, this new structure is covered with coordinates for locations around the world. Some of them indicate landmarks while others are totally random.

The top coordinate is a brownstone building in Brooklyn, New York, while the second location is the uninhabited island of Managaha in the Northern Mariana Islands near Guam in the Pacific Ocean.

The monolith is located near the Seaford Train Bridge in Noarlunga in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. He was first spotted at 6 p.m. local time last Thursday. As with many other monoliths, there is no idea how it got there or who is responsible for its erection.

A spokesperson for the Onkaparinga Council said he was only made aware of the structure after being contacted by the media and is currently investigating its origins.

Its discovery comes as new monoliths have also been discovered in Poland, the Netherlands and Ukraine.

The initial monolith was discovered in Utah, United States on November 18.

Bands of curious tourists and explorers flocked to the structure and posed for photos with the riddle, with rumors circulating it could be a message from alien life due to the similarity to 2001: A Space Stanley Kubrick’s Odyssey.

In the following weeks, the news went viral and more began to appear around the world.

The metal obelisk was about 10 to 12 feet tall and had been sunk into the red earth. He was abducted under cover of darkness by local tour guides.

Helicopter pilot Bret Hutchings, who was part of the group that discovered it, described it as “the strangest thing I have encountered out there in all my years of flying.”
